What NorStudy is
NorStudy (norstudy.com) is an independent study aid for the Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Google Cloud and the certification names are trademarks of Google LLC, used here only to describe what the material covers.
The material is written to match the published exam guide and is checked against Google Cloud documentation, but exams change. We cannot promise that any particular topic appears on your exam, or that using NorStudy means you will pass.
NorStudy is not Google Cloud. Your use of Google Cloud is governed by your own agreement with Google, not by anything on this site, and you are responsible for complying with it.
Your account
- One account per person. Do not share your login — access is tied to your account, and sharing it can end it.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe. Use "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page if you lose it.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live to use the site or buy the course. If you are below that age, do not create an account.
- When you create an account, and again when you buy, you confirm you have read and agree to these terms and the refund policy. We record that acceptance with a timestamp and the version of the text you accepted, and that record is what we rely on if there is ever a disagreement.
- A free account is bound by these terms too, including the section on your own Google Cloud account below.
What you may do with the material
Buying the course gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to study the material for your own exam preparation, for 6 months from the date of purchase.
- You may read, run and adapt the labs and notebooks for your own learning.
- You may not republish, resell, or redistribute the guides, questions or notebooks, or use them to build a competing product or course.
- You may not scrape the question banks or automate access to the site in a way that degrades it for other students.
All content remains the property of NorStudy.
Your own Google Cloud account, and the charges it generates
NorStudy teaches on top of Google Cloud; it does not provide Google Cloud. Every hands-on lab runs against a Google Cloud project and billing account that you create, own and pay for. This is the most important section of these terms, so read all of it before your first lab.
- We do not create your project or your billing account. We never have access to either of them, we never receive your Google credentials, and we are not a party to the agreement between you and Google.
- Every charge Google bills you is yours, not ours. The labs create real, billable resources. Some cost a few cents. Some are expensive. And some bill by the hour until you delete them — a capacity reservation, an orchestration environment, a database instance or a streaming pipeline does not stop on its own because you closed the notebook or finished reading. You are responsible for those charges whether or not you complete the lab, whether or not its cleanup step succeeded, and whether or not you later ask us for a refund.
- Each lab states an expected cost and duration before you start, and most end with a cleanup step. Those figures are estimates, not quotes. Google sets the prices, can change them at any time, and bills your card directly. We cannot see, predict or cap your bill.
- Before your first lab: use a dedicated project you are willing to delete, and set a Cloud Billing budget with alerts on that project's billing account. After every lab, run the cleanup step and satisfy yourself that the resources are gone. If you are not certain, delete the whole project — it is the only complete cleanup.
- Never run a lab in a production project, or in a project that belongs to your employer, a client, or anyone else. If somebody else pays the bill, getting their permission before you touch it is your responsibility alone.
- Free trial credits, free tiers and quotas are decided by Google, not by us, and can change or run out. A lab may start costing money partway through.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any Google Cloud charge, for a resource you left running, for unexpected or disputed billing, for a bill larger than a lab's estimate, for Google restricting or suspending your account, or for data you lose from your own project. That risk is yours. Nothing in this section takes away a right you have under consumer law that cannot be waived — but no consumer law makes us the payer on a contract you have with Google.
Price and access period
The course is a one-time payment of CA$29 (Canadian dollars), which opens the full course for 6 months. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars; your card issuer may convert the amount if your card is in another currency.
Prices are in Canadian dollars. No GST/HST is charged.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
If you buy again after your 6 months end, the new purchase starts a new 6-month period.
Refunds
There is a 7-day money-back guarantee: email us within 7 days for a full refund of the CA$29 you paid. If you sit the Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer exam within your access period and do not pass, you can claim the same full refund with your official score report. One refund per account. See the refund policy for the details.
Where the law requires a full refund, or the fault is ours, we refund the full amount. That guarantee is in addition to any rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
No refund covers money you paid to Google. A refund of the course price does not reimburse Google Cloud charges on your own account, and we have no way to reverse them.
If you live in the EU or the UK: consumer law there normally gives you 14 days to cancel a purchase like this. Because access unlocks the moment you pay, at checkout you expressly ask us to start supply immediately and acknowledge that you lose that cancellation right once access is unlocked. Our 7-day money-back guarantee applies on top of that and is not affected by it.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site available and the content accurate, but the site is provided "as is" and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or because a third-party service (hosting, authentication, payments) is having a bad day.
We may add, correct or retire content, and may update these terms. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will say so on this page and you can ask for a refund for the unused part of your access period.
Limits of our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. Where you have paid us nothing, that limit is one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD 100) — a ceiling, not a fee, and not a promise of payment.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost time, lost exam fees, lost income, or a charge on a Google Cloud account you own. We are not liable for anything caused by Google, by your own project configuration, or by a step you ran outside the lab instructions.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights.
Indemnity
If a claim, chargeback or demand is made against us because of something you did — including charges run up on a Google Cloud account you used, or material you republished in breach of the licence above — you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it and any amount we are ordered to pay. We will tell you promptly if that happens and let you take part in the response.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
Nothing in this section limits the consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
